The Bagri Foundation is pleased to continue its partnership with the National Theatre, supporting a new stage adaptation of The Jungle Book, directed by Indhu Rubasingham and written by Anupama Chandrasekhar. Premiering in the Olivier theatre for the 2026 festive season, this reimagining of Rudyard Kipling’s well-known story brings the narrative into the mangroves of the Sundarbans in India. The production combines Chandrasekhar’s contemporary writing with large scale puppetry by Lume, Nick Barnes and Finn Caldwell, alongside a wider creative team that brings the world of the jungle to life on stage.
