Bagri Foundation is delighted to be announced as Presenting Partner for Artes Mundi 10 (2023) and Artes Mundi 11 (2025). This collaboration will be the Foundation’s first major partnership within the UK outside of London and marks a significant milestone for both organisations. This new partnership will enable the delivery of an ambitious programme centred on the biennial exhibition and associated prize, plus a public programme of talks, workshops, commissions and other activities for Artes Mundi 10 and Artes Mundi 11. Artes Mundi brings together the UK’s leading international art prize, accompanied by an acclaimed biennial exhibition. Replicating the foundation ethos, the partnership aims at reflecting on the changing forces that shape our world and our futures through the voice of global artists. Artes Mundi and the Bagri Foundation share a commitment to support international contemporary visual arts practice and elevate dialogue surrounding the connections between local and global issues.
About Artes Mundi
Artes Mundi is the flagship international visual arts organisation for Wales based in Cardiff, UK. Established in 2002, Artes Mundi is committed to supporting international contemporary visual artists whose work engages with social reality and lived experience. The Artes Mundi exhibition and prize takes place biennially, running a sustained public programme of co-creative partnerships, commissions, community and learning projects alongside the public exhibition and prize giving. Previous winners are: Firelei Báez, Dineo Seshee Bopape, Meiro Koizumi, Beatriz Santiago Muñoz, Prabhakar Pachpute and Carrie Mae Weems (2021), Apichatpong Weerasethakul (2019), John Akomfrah (2017), Theaster Gates (2015), Teresa Margolles (2013), Yael Bartana (2010), N S Harsha (2008), Eija-Liisa Ahtila (2006), and Xu Bing (2004).
