Shorts on Tap

Shorts On Tap is London’s leading short film community. For the past 5 years they have screened hundreds of short films and documentaries at our sold-out events across the capital, becoming the place-to-be for London’s independent filmmakers. Shorts On Tap is also active with regular events in Berlin and Tokyo.
“The hippest
film night in London”
Much more than a short film festival, Shorts On Tap is an inclusive platform dedicated to the spreading of ideas through short-format content. Shorts On Tap’s themed events and series have touched thousands of people, making SOT one of the most vibrant & sought-after nights in London.
Partners include the Bagri Foundation, Raindance Film Festival, The BFI, Kickstarter, Shooting People as well as prestigious film schools such as the London Film Academy.
Shorts On Tap’s 2018 screenwriting competition Horizon was sponsored by Sony and supported by BFI Future Film.
Shorts On Tap is striving to champion short filmmaking and raising awareness on a number of social, environmental and ethical issues through film. Coming to you from across a wide range of genres and styles and in the most inclusive way: from narrative to experimental; from documentaries to animation and music videos. They always deliver a varied, eclectic, dynamic experience and we facilitate an engaged, vibrant and yet totally relaxed dialogue between filmmakers and the audience.
We’re delighted to partner with Shorts on Tap for Tales of the Silk Road, a new cross-art series of events to be taking place at multiple venues across London starting in November 2018 and taking place throughout 2019. The series will focus not only on the short films and documentaries of a specific Asian country, but also on its culture, art and traditions.
