Asia House Bagri Foundation Literature Festival 2014 Student Writing Programme & Writing Competition

Asia House held a Schools Writing Programme and Student Writing Competition for young people aged 12 to 18 at schools in London, Manchester and the Midlands as part of the Asia House Bagri Foundation Literature Festival 2014.

In partnership with London’s Eastside Educational Trust, authors and creative writing facilitators visited schools and held workshops with young people exploring Asian literature and culture. Taking the Asia House Bagri Foundation Literature Festival 2014’s theme of Changing Values as inspiration, they wrote their own stories and essays on the chosen theme and what it means to them.

The winners of the competition were announced at the More or Less Asian: A Debate on Stereotypes in Literature.
